OUR VOICE: Parking passes don't guarantee a spot

It's 8:43 a.m. on Monday. My friend and I gather all the quarters we can find in the middle console of her car and in our wallets-knowing full well that the parking lot on campus will be full and we will be forced to feed the meter. This is a familiar scene.… 1 Comment

The classic question of how to approach the economy is asked once again in regards to Duluth. Duluth does not have the best economy and unemployment rates are incredibly high. In fact, citywide, 18.3 percent of the population lives in poverty, compared to statewide at 9.… 1 Comment

As a current senior at the University of Minnesota Duluth, I am concerned about the job market when I graduate. Getting a job out of college is ideal for many, if not all students. That is why I am supporting Senator Tom Bakk in the race for governor. Senator Bakk understands the need to create more jobs to get the economy moving again.… Post the First Comment
